Meet The Sled Dogs

Come and meet our amazing Greenlandic sled dogs and get to know them up close. During this experience, you'll learn about the life of a sled dog in Ilulissat: how they're trained, how we prepare the sled, and how we work with them in both tourism and traditional hunting. Most importantly, you'll have plenty of time to interact with the dogs. They love human contact and enjoy being petted and cuddled.

Greenlandic sled dogs are one of the purest dog breeds in the world. They are not mixed with other breeds and share many traits with wolves, which make them strong, resilient, and truly special. Historically, they have been essential for transportation and hunting in Greenland. Today, they continue to play an important role, and also give visitors a chance to experience this unique part of Greenlandic culture.

And the best part: if you're lucky, there may be puppies. Because of seasons, we do not have puppies all year round, but when we do, they make the experience even more special. Spending time with them is guaranteed to bring smiles and unforgettable moments for both children and adults alike.
